BOARD MEMBERS

Veronica holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Service from Bryn Mawr College. Still early in her career, she has worked with children, adolescents, and their families in school, home, and community settings. She is especially passionate about empowering and advocating for those who may externalize behaviors as a result of traumatic experiences. Veronica is currently working to achieve a certification and license in Pastoral Counseling and incorporate her faith into her practice of counseling in a professional and wholesome way.

Veronica Gould

Caren Ishmael

Caren Ishmael is a native Philadelphian, currently living in Texas for the past four years. In her 30+ years in education, she has held many positions, including Chief Academic Officer of Harambee Institute of Science and Technology Charter School; however, teaching and supporting new educators is her passion.    Currently, Caren works as an ESL Interventionist at KIPP Destiny Elementary/Middle Schools located in Dallas. She is also working on her doctorate in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on Adult Learning at Grand Canyon University. Her research area is adult literacy.    Caren is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of 2 amazing girls. In her spare time, she enjoys watching sports (Go Eagles and Sixers!), reading, and traveling. She is a proud member of the Potter's House Dallas, where Bishop TD Jakes is the Senior Pastor.
